It’s your boat day . . . grab sunscreen
Boat day sunscreen options
1. Broad spectrum
Look for broad spectrum otherwise known as UVA, UVB and visible light protection.
2. SPF 30 or higher
SPF stands for Sun Protection Factor and is a measure of how well a sunscreen will protect skin from UVB rays, which are the primar cause of sunburns. The SPF level indicates how long you can stay in the sun without burning, compared to how long it would take without any sunscreen. For example, if you burn 10 minutes after sun exposure, an SPF 30 sunscreen would theoretically allow you to stay in the sun for 300 minutes or 5 hours (10 X 30 = 300) without burning.
